STOP FIXING THE REFLECTION
Why changing your external circumstances never works.
The Mechanism A Root (Shoresh) is the thing from which something flows. Just like the root of a tree feeds the trunk and the branches. So too in spiritual reality: Every phenomenon in this world is a Branch (Anaf) of a preceding spiritual cause. What we see—an event, a person, a trait, a relationship—is not the Source. It is the Result.
The Law of Roots
The Law is called Root and Branch. The ancient Midrash states: “There is no blade of grass below that does not have a constellation (Mazal) above that strikes it and says: Grow.” Meaning: Every detail here has a higher conscious source that feeds it.
The Intention
The Root is the initial Intention from which the appearance emerges. Two people can do the exact same action. But the Root is completely different because the Intention is different.
The Soul Root
In Kabbalah, we speak of the Soul Root. This is the spiritual level from which the soul was drawn before it descended into the world. The Root determines your deep tendencies, your internal direction, and your type of Correction (Tikkun).
The Glitch
The entire reality is built of spiritual Roots that cascade down through the Worlds until they become physical reality. The Secret: The Root is the point of Will as it is included in the Endless Light before it separated into independent consciousness. This is the place where the Soul is adhered to its Source without concealment. From there, it descends through Contraction (Tzimtzum) and Screens (Masachim) until it dresses in a body.
The Work
The human task is to return in consciousness to the Root. Not to cancel the world. But to discover that the Branch is always connected to the Source.
When we say “Root,” we do not mean family lineage or external framework. We mean the internal level from which you suckle your vitality.
The one who lives only in the Branch clings to the external form.
The one who connects to the Root acts from the Source, and therefore their actions receive a different vitality.
The Shift
A Root is a primary conscious cause from which reality flows. To connect to the Root means to live from the Divine Intention from which you emerged. Not just from the definitions into which you were born.

ORIYA’S NOTE
We spend our entire lives trying to fix the Branch.
We try to fix the bank account (Branch) without fixing the belief about scarcity (Root).
We try to fix the marriage (Branch) without fixing the expectation of salvation (Root).
We try to fix the anxiety (Branch) without fixing the lack of faith (Root).
This is like trying to fix a movie by yelling at the screen. You can yell at the screen, you can clean the screen, you can shoot the screen. But the movie will not change. Because the movie is coming from the Projector.
The Projector is the Root. The Screen is the Branch. Most people live their lives on the Screen. They are exhausted because they are constantly fighting shadows and reflections. The Kabbalist turns around and walks into the projection booth.
If you change the slide in the projector (the Intention), the entire movie on the screen changes instantly. Stop polishing the mirror. Change the face.
